- This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a history of cataracts, glaucoma, or increased intraocular pressure due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
- This medicine may slow or delay healing and increase the risk of a bleb formation.
- Patients are advised to remove contact lenses prior to the administration of this medicine.
- This medicine may cause blurred vision or other vision changes in some patients.
- This medicine comes in two formulations, fluorometholone and fluorometholone acetate. Formulations containing fluorometholone are not recommended for use in patients less than 2 years of age while formulations containing fluorometholone acetate are not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.
