Hydroxyprogesterone 500.00 mg/2 ml

Injection is a progestin (female hormone). It works by modulating the immune response of the mother to prevent rejection of the embryo and allow its attachment to the uterus. This prevents miscarriage and helps lower the risk of premature birth in women who have had one premature delivery in the past.

Used to prevent miscarriage, uterine bleeding and endometrial cancer.

Pain at injection site, headache, diarrhea, skin rashes, itching, swelling, oozing and jaundice.

Do not take if you have seizures, asthma,blood clots or other blood clotting problems, cancer (especially of the breast or other female organs), depression, diabetes, severe headaches/migraines, heart problems, high blood pressure. Do not take with alosetron, betaxolol, cyclophosphamide, methadone, nicotine. . Consult with the doctor in pregnancy and lactation.
