Torasemide is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the
body by increasing the amount of urine produced.
Torsemide is a diuretic which is used to control high blood pressure and edema.
It treats oedema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney or lung
disease.

Sleeplessness
This medicine is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Torsemide should be used with caution in the patient's suffering from this condition
due to an increase in the risk of electrolyte imbalance.
Torsemide may increase the risk of developing a hearing problem when rapid
intravenous injections are given.
Torsemide may alter the blood volume levels and electrolyte levels. This may cause
dizziness, dry mouth, and acid-base imbalance. Close monitoring of blood pressure
and electrolyte levels is necessary.
