Fusidic Acid is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins
required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from
growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.
Fusidic acid is an antibiotic used in the treatment of inflammation of the skin, hair
follicles; infections of the skin surrounding the fingernails or toenails; infections of
the bearded skin; and infections of the folds of the skin with brown scaly skin
patches which are mostly caused by Staphylococcus species. It is also used to treat
impetigo which is characterized by crusty and swollen patches of skin.

This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding and pregnant women
unless absolutely necessary.
Do not get this medicine into the eyes or near the eyes while applying it on the face
since the medicine may cause irritation of the eyes.
Do not use this medicine for a prolonged period of time or in large volumes since
this may cause serious adverse effects and the skin may become sensitive to the
medicine
MOMETASONE (moe MET a sone) is a corticosteroid. It is used to treat skin problems that may cause itching, redness, and swelling. Mometasone is a medium-strength corticosteroid. This medication is available in several forms including cream, ointment, and lotion (solution). Mometasone decreases swelling (inflammation), itching, and redness.
Mometasone topical is used to relieve the redness, swelling, itching and inflammation and discomfort of various skin conditions, including psoriasis (a skin disease in which red, scaly patches form on some areas of the body and eczema (a skin disease that causes the skin to be dry and itchy and to sometimes develop red, scaly rashes).
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
- Severe skin rash
- Redness, swelling, or other signs of skin infection in the place where you applied mometasone
- Children who use mometasone topical may have an increased risk of side effects including slowed growth and delayed weight gain. Talk to your child's doctor about the risks of applying this medication to your child's skin.
