Bromfenac ophthalmic (eye) solution is used to treat pain or swelling of the eye following cataract surgery.
Bromfenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by stopping the release of certain natural substances in the eye that are responsible for pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

- Headache
- Eye pain
- Eye discharge
- Visual disturbances
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless necessary.
This medicine is not recommended for use if you are wearing soft contact lenses in your eyes.
This medicine contains sodium sulfite and it may cause allergic-type reactions including anaphylactic symptoms and life-threatening or less severe asthmatic episodes in some patients.
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
This medicine may slow or delay healing in some patients.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of bleeding disorders due to the increased risk of excessive bleeding.
Prolonged use of this medicine may result in keratitis, epithelial breakdown, corneal thinning, corneal erosion, corneal ulceration, or corneal perforation in some patients.
f the ophthalmic solution of this medicine is contaminated, it may lead to a bacterial infection.
This medicine may cause symptoms such as blurred vision, decreased vision, etc. in some patients.
