Mefenamic Acid is used for pain relief. It relieves pain in conditions like period pain, headache, muscle pain, joint pain or dental pain and dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps).
Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

- Ringing or buzzing in the ears
- Blurred vision
- Weight gain
- Shortness of breath
- Swelling of face, lips, eyelids, tongue, hands and feet
- Peeling and blistering of skin
- Fast heartbeat
- Unusual bleeding or bruising
- Yellow colored eyes or skin
- Difficult or painful urination
- Bloody and Cloudy urine
- Excessive tiredness
Use of this medicine in breastfeeding women is not recommended.
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary.
Report the use of all other medicines including supplement and herbs to the doctor before receiving this medicine.
Use of this medicine for a long duration may cause fluid retention and heart failure.
Use of this medicine can cause an acute attack of asthma to occur especially in patients with a history of aspirin sensitivity.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from peptic ulcer or other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Use of this medicine can cause a series of allergic skin reaction (Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis).
