Drotaverine is used for menstrual pain and abdominal pain. It relieves pain due to smooth muscle spasm like menstrual pain, pain due to kidney stone, pain due to biliary stone and gastro-intestinal colicky pain.

Drotaverine is an anti-spasmodic medicine which relieves contractions (spasms) associated with smooth muscles in the abdomen

• Nausea and Vomiting
• Dry mouth
• Change in pulse rate
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Difficulty in breathing
• Allergic skin reaction
• Swelling of face, lips, eyelids, tongue, hands and feet 
• Fall in blood pressure

This medicine is not recommended for use by pregnant women unless necessary.

This medicine is not recommended for use if you are breastfeeding as the risks of adverse effects on the infant are significantly high.

This medicine should be used with caution in patients having a liver and kidney function impairment.

Use of this medicine can cause a fall in blood pressure levels and hence should be used with caution in patients having a disease of the heart and blood vessels.

This medicine is known to interact with many other medicines that you might be consuming.
