Ethamsylate is an effective medicine to prevent or stop bleeding from small blood vessels or capillaries. It is used to prevent or control the loss of excessive amounts of blood during menstrual periods or surgery.

Ethamsylate is a haemostatic medication. It works by increasing the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. It also helps control bleeding from tiny blood vessels (capillaries).

• Severe allergic reaction
• High fever
• Headache
• Diarrhea
• Skin rash

Use of this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

This medicine may contain some inactive ingredients like wheat starch which may cause allergic reactions in some people.

This medicine may cause an increase in body temperature. 

This medicine is not known to affect or be affected by the uptake of other medicines. 

This medicine should not be used in patients having a non-cancerous tumor in the womb.

The use of this medicine to control excessive menstrual bleeding should start only during the cycle.
