For most people, beauty is the best possible version of themselves inside and out. Each one of us wants to look beautiful till the last breath. Through
many years of experience, I have realized that everyone has an intense desire to look beautiful. Skin is the largest organ of our body. When I meet people,
I realize their dedication for a good and healthy skin. Dark circles? No! Pigmentation? No! Wrinkles and uneven tone? Oh such a worry! We observe that
people lack confidence when their skin is not good. Teenagers do not accept a single acne spot on their faces, whereas on the other hand growing ladies
want a forever young look. For everyone, whether a man or a woman, beautiful skin is an essential of life.
Here are some principles of a beautiful and healthy skin:
- Skin is an organ of our body. Therefore, there are many genetic determinants of the quality of skin we have inherited. Some people have this genetic gift
of beautiful and healthy skin.
- The next important factor is, how much do we care for our skin. All of us as babies have a silky smooth natural skin. But as we grow up, there are
hormonal changes in our body. These hormones affect the skin too. As we move towards teenage our skin type is revealed. It might be oily, dry, oily with
acne or combination skin with an oily T-zone. As we get to know the skin texture, this is the perfect time to start the skin care regime.
- Your lifestyle is very important determinant of your skin radiance. 70% of the body is composed of water, therefore focus on water intake. A daily target
of consuming 3.5 litres water flushes all the toxins in our body and the skin remains hydrated. Hydration gives a glow to the skin.
- Beautiful skin is not a miracle, it’s a commitment. One should commit to a proper routine care to keep the best foot forward.
Routine care consists of cleaning your face with a cleanser or face wash. This cleanser should be gentle, pH balancing and full of natural ingredients.
Cleansing make sure that all the dust-dirt and residual make up from the face is washed out. On cleansing, the pores of the skin open which reenergizes the
skin and prevents various infections.
After cleansing your face use a toner to balance the pH of skin. Use a cotton swab to dab the toner all over face and neck.
A toner brings the pH to 5.5, which is the natural pH and forms an active protective layer that shields the skin from dust and infections.
Once a proper toning is done, hydrate your skin with a moisturizer. Use a water based natural moisturizer.
Next step is to ensure sun protection. Use an SPF 30 or 50 sun protection cream. Sun rays contain harmful UV radiations; hence it’s very important to use
an SPF daily. UV A cause Aging, UV B causes Burns and UV C causes Cancer of skin. A liberal application of sun protection creams gives sun shield for 3 to
3.5 hours. Don’t miss the SPF even if you are working indoors, as indoor lights can also cause photo-aging.
You can apply the desired make-up after this routine skin care steps.
In the night-time, again clean your face, tone and target the problem area of your skin. There are nourishing creams, serums, anti-aging creams and many
others which work on your skin to fix the specific skin problems while you sleep.
Twice a week, exfoliate your skin with an exfoliating mask or scrub.
Everyone is absolutely beautiful. All we need is to give a little attention to our delicate skin. Following these daily skin care regime solves most of the
skin problems. A beautiful person is happy from outside and inside. Stay beautiful!
